Life Spices Jug Handled Bean Pot, McCoy Pottery
Circa: 1970s
Price: $47.00 USD
Description: This large bean pot by McCoy has two jug handles or ears, and sports a vegetable design so popular in the 1970s. With mushrooms, peppers, carrots, tomatoes, onions, artichokes, carrots and a sprinking of herbs, it will coordinate well with your Corning Spice of Life collection. The bean pot is about 6.25" tall and 8" in diameter and in excellent condition with no damage noted. It has a very faintly impressed maker's mark. We are including a lid that is not original to the pot, but fits perfectly. The original lid did not have the spoon hole. This lid has a matte finish as well, where the bean pot has a satin finish, but this is a detail unlikely to be noticed. This bean pot is a great addition to any retro setting and can be used for both hot and cold service.

Festival Wheat Oval Platter, Edwin Knowles
Circa: Unknown
Price: $14.00 USD
Description: A unique round presentation of the wheat pattern in shades of gold, gray, brown and green, this oval platter is from the Festival line by Edwin Knowles. There is some minor wear to the decorations, but nothing that would not be expected in a vintage piece. There are no chips, nicks or cracks, and the muted color scheme is quite beautiful. The background is creamy white and there is a spattering of gold and green that lends depth and interest to the piece. 13" by 10" oval. This tray would make a great display piece in your retro kitchen.

Honey Jar by Hartstone Pottery, Hand Painted
Circa: Unknown

We've included a wooden honey stick with the jar that may or may not be original to the set, as it is marked Italy. A beautiful decorative and utilitarian piece to add beauty to your kitchen table.

Chicken of the Sea Tuna Platter, Made in California
Circa: 40s-?
Price: $21.00 USD
Description: A charming mascot for Chicken of the Sea, this tuna plate was featured in a 1941 ad campaign (see last picture). I haven't been able to determine when production stopped, but still find this a very whimsical advertising piece. THe glaze is a matte finish ivory with undertones of blue that emphazise the fins and scales as well as the eye. The plate is roughly 10" in diameter and has two small flaws. The first is a pencil eraser sized glaze flaw on the body just under where the scales are and the second is a tiny chip in the underside of the tail. Still a great piece to add to your serving collection or food memorabilia.

Priority insured shipping to the continental USA will be $10.75 for this item. Mountain and Pacific time zones, please add $2.00 postage for this oversize box. Please contact us for overseas rates.
