Pair Edwardian Inlaid Bedroom Chairs.
Circa: 1901-1910

Description: Dainty mahogany chairs, inlaid with classic design in ivory, satinwood and fruitwood. Sheraton revival styale, circa 1901-1910. Back of chair is surmounted by a classic cornice style motif, with little “vase” finials. Ivory stringing to back, turned and tapered legs. Back legs sweep out, and seat has a thumbnail detail to the edge. Upholstered in possibly original carpet bag fabric. Excellent condition. Chairs measure 89 cm high, 39.5 cm wide and 41 cm deep (35 inches high, 15.1/2 wide and 16 inches deep). These are beautifully made and well-detailed chairs, in very good condition. Shipping outside New Zealand would be quite expensive.
Windsor Chair, 19th Century, Elm.

Description: A very nice ladder back Windsor chair, Victorian period, and made in beautiful elm. It is a carver chair, and stands 35 inches (89cm) high, 20.1/2 inches (52cm) wide and approx 18.1/2 inches (47cm) deep. The seat is contoured, it has turned legs and a pegged frame. A very comfortable country chair. It has an old minor repair (see last photo) and is in very good condition.
