Description: Large pine coffer, 19th century, with fairly crudely painted design of stylized flowers in panels on front, and to lid in the style of a marriage chest. Inside it has a candle box to the left side, and iron hinges and lock - the lock is a large complicated affair, and I have no key!
Coffer is in very good used condition - very good interior, and nice naturally distressed paint work outside. I don’t know if the painting is original to it, but it certainly has some age.
Lovely character decorator item and very, very useful.
Coffer measures 59 cm high, 62 cm deep and 139 cm wide (about 23 inches high, by 24.1/2 inches deep and 54.1/2 inches wide).
