Exquisite Russian USSR Lacquer Box "Bird of Prey"

Circa: 1970's

Description: This Russian Lacquer Paper Mache box was made in 1976. An intricately hand-painted hawk, is shown, taking it's rest on a tree branch. The background actually appears to glow with the use, by the artist, of reds, vermilion and gold. Other than the bottom paint chip, as shown in photo 6, this treasure is mint!
