Lowenbrau Beer Mug By McCoy – Late 70s

Description: Heavy pottery 16 ounce advertising mug made by the McCoy Co during the period of 1974 through the mid 1980s. Marked: “6395” “McCoy” “LCC” (The Lancaster Colony Corp. Mark); “USA”. Pictures of this mold number (6395) item is shown in the Collector Books Series; “McCoy Pottery book - Volume two”, by C. Nissen & Bob and Margaret Hanson; on page 186, at top left, & on page 196, bottom left (in the Brown drip glaze). This was a late production piece made in the late 70s after the Company had been sold to the Lancaster Colony Corp. In 1985 Lancaster sold out to Designer Accents who merged the company with two other small companies that were not successful and closed the doors around 1990. In very good condition with minor wear and light glaze pinholes on the inside. Handle has molded lid mount indents on either side for mounting of a lid. Measures 5” high x 3 ¾” wide at bottom. Description: McCoy Twin shell planter ca 1956 with Mcy (McCoy) mark on front foot. This unusual and seldom seen piece is in good condition, with light glaze crazing, but sound clay body. This piece has some minor areas of roughness under the glaze as if it were not cleaned well before final glaze & firing. Overall a very nice piece and a great addition to any vintage 50’s McCoy collection. Item is as seen in “McCoy Pottery Reference & Price Guide Vol. 2” By Hanson, Nissen & Hanson, on page 118, (only without the gold trim of course). 8¼” L x 3¼” W (SEE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS) Priority insured S&H Quoted at time of purchase.

This shape pitcher was produced for many years in this 32 OZ. size for many promotional/advertising contracts from the 60s through the 70s. Shown in the McCoy Pottery book - Volume two, by C.
