In this letter the composer talks of the possibility of traveling through space as no longer existing only in our imagination; And how the young people of today (1953) will become the “Space Minded people of tomorrow”.
As a young student I can remember 4 years later on October 4, 1957, the Soviet Union sent into orbit Sputnik 1, the first artificial satellite in history and the official Space Race Began.
Nice piece of history as well as a great teaching piece of sheet music for young piano students.
