Description: American Book Company, 1890. Very Good/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
Binding is black cloth with leather spine w/ gilded lettering. Book has some wear on the spine, top and bottom edges, light wear to corners, one text page has 1.5” edge tear, pencil writing front end page, otherwise very good condition overall.
4 color chromolithographed plates; Color plates: I. Roman legionary soldier; II. 1. Temple of Zeus at Olympia, 2. Temple of Jupiter Capitolinus at Rome; III. 1-4, army and official costumes, 5-7. war and merchant ships; IV. 14 Roman dieties from statuary.
Over 80 line illustrations. 348 pages including Latin-English vocabulary and English-Latin vocabulary.

Moderate wear to top/bottom of spine, bumped & chipped corners (see photo); PO name date (1900) on front cover back with store stamp on front fly leaf. Page edge soiling with mild foxing. Penciled notes back fly leaf.
Overall, a nice textbook of turn of the century human Anatomy and Physiology.
