View Larger Image   Crystal Perfume Bottle, Silver Collar, 1902   Description: An Edwardian-period large rectangular clear crystal scent bottle with star decoration to the front and rear panels, a sterling silver collar and fancy stopper. The silver is hallmarked for Birmingham (England) 1902. Engraved in the silver on the neck is the inscription "Mother", and underneath this "28.8.15" Perhaps this was once a present for the giver’s mother. Maybe her birthday was on the 28th of August. Height 16cm (6.1/4 inches ) width 2.1/2 inches (6.3cm) and depth 1.3/4 inches (4.5cm). In very good condition overall. There are a few of the usual minor dents about the silver collar-top where the stopper hits it, a very small nibble on one corner of the underneath base, and small chips to the bottom of the stopper where it sits inside the neck of the flask and at the apex of the stopper.
