This is a nice clean level plumb, and inclinometer marked "ACME LEVEL CO. on two brass plates on two of the three sight holes. The level is in very good shape overall with good brass hardware including brass end caps, except for the outer casing of the level tube is cast iron. All the level tubes are in good shape, each is adjustable and the center one has degree increments marked on it. The wood appears to be cherry wood and has a few dings on it, but the level looks great! This tool was displayed in a tool museum locally for many years. I purchased it when the museum was closed. Acme Level Co. began around 1909 in Toledo Ohio, later moved to Archbold, Ohio were the company closed in 1925. Very few of these 42" levels exist.
