View Larger Image   Cased Glass Czechoslovakian Compote   Description: This vintage open compote is in very good condition. No chips, nicks, etc. The outside layer of glass is black amethyst, as it will show reddish, purple at the base when held to bright sunlight. The inner layer is a lovely yellow/orange color. This compote stands 5 in. tall and measures 7.75 in. diameter at the top. The bottom is etched Czechoslovakia. This type of centerpiece or open compote was popular from the 1920's-1940's era.
