No. 39 Architect's Rule Rare!   Description: This is a nice, clean, rare 4 fold boxwood architect's rule, featuring inside beveled edges, and architect's scales, center arch joint, and also side inch scales on the exterior sides! This one is in beautiful shape with all 3 locator pins intact, all nice brass hinges and pins, and very straight too! This ruler is marked "NO. 39 STEPHENS & CO. RIVERTON CT.". Most of the original finish is intact, no cracks, no chips, just as nice as they come. A very hard to find rule! The Stephens & Co. name was changed in 1901 to Chapin & Shephens, as a combined company.
