Late Victorian Scenes.   Description: Two vintage etchings, probably circa late 19th century, titled “On the Thames near Cookham”, showing the river with a punt and small sailing boat at a bend with rustic houses in background, and “St. Michael's Mount, Cornwall”, which is an interesting scene with storm waves and sailing boats in the bay under the Mount. “An Original Etching by David Law, R.S.” Framed in original matching period fram. Each whole measures 26cm by 33.5cm (10.1/4 inches by 13.1/4 inches). Very sepia,and have dirt inside the glass, and a little stain creeping in at the bottom (to the mount only). Cookham is in very good condition, but the other has foxing all over. Lovely original framer’s label on the reverse of Cookham “Boots Chemists Ltd. Picture Framing & Art Department” (quite a departure from a Chemist’s usual activities!).
