The tray is 11.5" across the top and is 3.75" tall. The floral medallion is surrounded by a band of enamelled grapes, fleurs de lis and scrolls in a variety of bright colors. The band has three screws in it, which hold the base of the tray on. I believe that the base is cast brass. See the detail pictures for a full view of the base with the screws coming through the corona of the flower. The tray itself is sandwiched between the base and the floral medallion on the top. This is a very whimsical treatment for a decorative tray, but it has an air of sophistication as well. Not something you'll find in the house next door!
