Perhaps at Christmas time in appreciation of their patronage. No chips, cracks, etc. Just some crazing as is normal for the age of this item. Decorated with an applied decal of 2 pink and 2 white roses. I believe this to be a decal. Not Positive. Pretty and suitable for display. One image appears to show a yellowed area. It's Not.
