View Larger Image   Calling Card Case, Mother of Pearl.   Description: A Victorian period calling card case - made from Mother of Pearl with a silver insert presentation panel (not yet engraved with anyone’s initials) and ivory inside edges. Still in its original presentation box - beautiful Morocco leather with a crimson silk interior. The card case itself has a purple/blue silk interior, with two pockets of blue card. Once this case would have had a concertina style interior of blue card pockets, but it is all missing except the end two. However, this means that the case can now be used for business cards (our cards are so much bigger than the original calling cards, that the old fittings are too small for today’s use). Card case measures 11cm by 7.75cm by 1.5cm thick (4.1/4 inches by 3 inches by 5/8 inch thick). Excellent condition, except for the inside previously describes.
