View Larger Image   Our Village by Miss Mitford Illustrated 1893   Description: This is a very attractive looking book with many illustrations by "HUGH THOMSON". The book is 5. x 7.3" hard cover, with nice gold embossed floral design on the front and spine. There is a few small areas that the cover cloth is worn through or torn, considered minor, as the book still looks good. The page edges are the gold guilt style, very nice little wear, the inside page are clean with some age toning spots noted, good tight spine, clean cloth cover, very little wear. We note one inside seam repair completed with professional archival tape, and hold just fine, and we note also a gift note inside to a friend in ink. Text is in great shape, no rips, or damage otherwise. It is marked "MACMILLEN AND CO. LONDON AND NEW YORK 1893" and "OUR VILLAGE BY MARY RUSSELL MITFORD, AND ONE HUNDRED ILLUSTRATIONS BY HUGH THOMSON". inside.
