View Larger Image   A Copper Tray, Made from Wedding Invitation Plate.   Description: A crimped edge little tray, made from the original printer’s plate for a wedding invitation. (A true engraved invitation). Tray measures 17.5cm by 14cm (7 inches by 5.1/2 inches). The invitation (which is in mirror image for printing) reads “Mrs & Mrs Jacob Henry Cook request the pleasure of your company at the Wedding reception of their daughter Dorothy May, and Mr Frank Roberts Mead on Tuesday the fourteenth of April at half after eight o’clock, “The Peaks”, Sound Beach, Connecticut. R.S.V.P.” The rear of the plate is stamped “Dempsey & Carroll, New York”. A wonderful memento of a wedding.
