View Larger Image   John Leech Engraving, Victorian Period.   Description: Victorian engraving by the famous caricaturist John Leech. Probably a scene from Dickens, or Punch Magazine. Shows a traveller being shown to a scruffy attic room by a hopeful landlord. Item measures 29 cm by 19 cm (11.1/2 inches by 7.1/2 inches). The actual plate area is 23 cm by 14 cm (9 inches by 5.1/2 inches). There is foxing to the outer edge, but only a few faint areas on the actual plate area. None on the actual engraving.
