View Larger Image   Japanese Handpainted Vase, Chrysanthemums.   Description: Vase, dating from the very early 20th century. It is Japanese, and features very fine hand painted designs of chrysanthemums, daisies and a bird. The neck is decorated with gold circles and flower outlines. The background colour fades from soft pink on the neck , through ochre, then pink again at the base. Handpainted enamelled highlights with gilding. Handpainted flowers. Vase measures 29 cm high and 9.8 cm diameter at its widest (11.1/2 inches by 3.7/8 inch).
