View Larger Image   Sheffield Plate Ink Stand.   Description: Victorian Old Sheffield Plate standish with two pots - one for ink and the other with perforated shaker top for sand (to blot the ink). Pen rests at either side. Gadrooned edge with shell motif handles and paw feet. Measures about 26 cm wide and 18.5 cm deep (10 inches by 7.1/2 inches). Basically very good condition - a few minor nibbles around the (hidden) glass tops of the pots, and some bleed showing at edges of the pen rests and on the ink pot top.
