19th century bronze dish with woven copper edge - the centre oval bronze plaque has a scene of two men winnowing rice. Their clothes and dishes have gilded highlights, and there are gilded flowers surrounding them. The edge is copper, woven to look like basket weave. Whole measures 21 cm by 24 cm (8.1/4 inches by 9.1/2 inches). The basket weave edging has become a little out of true, and there are a few marks on the bronze, but overall condition is good and sound Rear of the bronze has 5 Japanese script marks - signature.
