Beautiful presentation! 24 pieces (12 place settings ) silver-plated fruit knives and forks with Mother of Pearl handles. These would date from around the late 19th century to maybe very early 20th century. The maker’s are Hukin and Heath, Birmingham, England. The blades of the knives, and the head of the forks are engraved with a pretty swag pattern . They come in a superb walnut box, lined with a dark blue velvet. The box is made by Union Case.
You can use fruit knives and forks for entree courses, or for deserts which need and knife. Knives measure 19 cm long (7.1/2 inches), and forks are 16 cm long (6.1/4 inches).
This service has been lightly used, but is in very, very good condition. It’s increasingly rare to find sets of 24 (we mostly get sets of 12 pieces for 6 people).
