A unique platter with a series of rural scenes in a green underglaze print, manufactured by Royal China. This plate has a swirled rim and a deep green border and is in excellent condition. It is 12" in diameter and is marked COUNTRYSIDE Underglaze Print L55. There's a wealth of detail on this platter, from the harness on the horses to the fallen apples under the tree and the old fashioned bonnets on the women. This plate would make a great decorative accent for any country home.
