It's in good clean useable condition with a good firm joint, no rust, no owner's names or marks, minor steel finish darkening or staining, one small spot of pitting near the name, good tips, very little wear. This caliper is designed to scribe lines and equal distance from an existing surface, so that is why the scribe pin is adjustable, so you can adjust it to the correct depth, according to what ever surface you are trying to follow with the other tip on you work piece.
