Hardcover, bound with red leather spines and corners, and with marbled page edges.. Published by Cassell, Petter and Galpin, London, Paris & New York. All volumes have numerous black & white engravings as illustrations. Vol. 1 is “ British Battles”, 576 pages. The leather covering to the spine on this volume is missing. Vol. 2 is “British Battles on Land and Sea”, 576 pages. Intact, some rubbing o leather to spine. Vol. 3 is “British Battles on Land and Sea”, 579 pages including index for all three volumes. Half of spine leather cover is damaged. Otherwise, all in very good condition inside.
