View Larger Image   White Opaline Baccarat Caddy Large Size Book Piece With PInk Jewels   Description: This is a Stately piece not often found in this rare size. The White Opaline Egg casket by itself is 6" across and add another 2" on each side for the Ormolu handles for a Giant size of 10" across & 9" high. Twist and turns ending with Gold Jeweled balls form the handles. While the same theme is carried out for the legs with large curls that connect to the ornate Ormolu underneath the White Opaline Egg. Inside the loops of the handles, on each side, are Ormolu flowers with Stunning Deep Pink Opaline jewels as their center. Below this are large intricately detailed leaves. The front center area has delicate Ormolu Grape leaves with gold jewel balls clustered together in the center. Behind this area, on each side, there are another set of Flowers with Gold Jewel centers. This stands on a white Alabaster Plinth which has Bun Feet. The base is carved with a gentle scallop between each foot area. The White Opaline Egg Casket has ornate Ormolu mounts, a back hinge and front clasp that all work properly. It has a stunning Sun Burst pattern on the lid which can be seen in the book Les Opalines by Christine Vincendeau. It is in the center of the book in pink with a few extra colored jewels between pages 69 & 71. Same mold, shape, & star burst pattern on top.
