Sophisticated star design being larger in the center and repeating it along the border with tiny mosaic tiles. The mosaic is made from pewter, ivory, stained ivory, ebony and rosewood. The structure is made from Sandalwood. Truly stunning dating from ca. 1820. It has a minute area missing wood on the inside of the case, a tiny bit of lifting to the lid, and one panel of ivory has been replaced in the same area.
