The handle is 5.7" long overall x 1.0" diameter. The largest end of the socket or taper is .53" tapering to .3" at the small end of the taper, the taper is about 1.0" long. We have several antique chisel handles in stock, and understand how difficult it is to find vintage chisel handles in new condition. Handles with the leather caps generally last longer, as the leather helps to keep the handle from splitting, and also cause less wear on your wood mallet, as the leather keeps the mallet from denting or chipped over the long haul.
