This is a nice, clean 1/4 pound, antique nail hammer, with the claw type nail puller, and the conical shaped (adze eye) striking end. It is not marked by the maker. The head has a 2.75" long overall, and has a handle that is 10.5" long overall. In good shape with minor dings and wear on the head, most of the wear around the round edge of the striking surface, the claw is in very good shape. The handle is most likely original with very little wear, solid no cracks, fits tightly to the head. This is a style hammer that was made in the late 1800's to 1920's, generally cast iron was the metal used to cast the head on this light of a nailing hammer. In nice useable condition!
