Hull Grummond & Co. beganmaking cigars in Binghamton NY in the mid 1800\'s; Flor De Franklin Cigars weretheir biggest sellers.
This large, heavy glass tray is achange receiver. The advertising, a beautiful image of Ben Franklin flying a kite, is reverse painted on theunderside of the glass. The tray measures 7 inches wide, 6 1/2 inches deep, andthe height at the back (taller than the front of the tray) is 2 ΒΌ inches. Theinside of the tray is recessed, less at the top and more at the bottom edge.There are no chips or cracks in the glass; there is chipping to the paint onthe underside as per our photos. The tray was made by The Brunhoff Mfg. Co. of CincinnatiOhio; their Brunhoff name is embossed in the glass on the front and back edges.The manufacturers label is still adhered to the original felt bottom of thetray.
