INFORMATION ABOUT CALABASH
The Calabash pipe is named after the plant it is madefrom, the “Calabash Gourd.”
The Calabash Gourd is a largefruit that once harvested and matured can be dried, and used as a bottle,utensil, or pipe. A natural farm product that comes in various sizes and neckformations.
The plant is trimmed off flushto make the base for a Meerschaum.
The most common being theMeerschaum insert due to its porous properties, which allows the pipe tobreathe and smoke cool.
The large chamber made by thebore of the plant allows the smoke to circulate and develop more than in anyother pipe. This large chamber and dramatic curve also stores more fluid andstops any bitter impurities passing through the stem.

Meerschaum is a very rare mineral, a kind of hardwhite clay. Light and porous structure of the pipe keeps the smoke cool andsoft. The pipe itself is a natural filter which absorbs the nicotine.
