Description - American, patented June 20th, 1876 by Anton Lang of Pittsburg, PA, patent no.179,031. Made of tinned sheet metal, 5\" diameter x 3\" tall. \"...new and useful improvements in combined cake-pan, flour-sifter, and culinary funnel... My invention consists of a pan constructed in two sections, which are hinged together in the rear, to permit of the said sections being opened or closed as occasion may require, the lower rim of said sections being formed with a recess, in which are adapted to be fitted a flour-sifter or culinary funnel, or a bottom for baking cakes...\" This attractive late 19th century patent model is complete as shown in the patent drawing and in very good overall condition, with its original patent office tag.
