Hello, this is a great piece of New England history, a beautiful crooked knife with the engraved 1895 date on the end of the handle in the brass. I just found it at a rural Maine sale. The blade is still very sharp and the knife is solid, in nice shape. It was used to carve canoes, buckets, & bowls, etc.. Each knife was originally created to fit the hand of the carver specifically, and used to make those essential tools and domestic items necessary to survive. A great Northeast river piece for your collection. FREE SHIPPING!
