One is hallmarked Sheffield & dated 1901, the other is hallmarked London and dated 1900. The maker had factories in both London & Sheffield. The holders were made for the Australian market as each feature an identical retailers name Wm FARMER & CO 30 HUNTER ST SYDNEY Made in the style of Roman Columns they stand 28.5cms high with a 12.2cms square base.
