1904 McClellan Saddle Size11 For Sale

1904 McClellan Saddle Size 11 in excellent condition even though it\'s probably over a century old. The saddle, including the pommel and cantle straps are in excellent condition without any surface or seam tears, only minor surface blemishes ( see photos ). Purchased saddle more than 15yrs. ago from private elderly individual just as you see it. She claimed it was a family possession as long as she could remember but couldn\'t recall history. Due to relative difference between color and condition of saddle itself and lower rigging components, I DO NOT believe, although period,the lower quarter straps, stirrup straps and stirrups are original to the saddle. In my opinion the saddle, including pommel and cantle quarter straps are in excellent condition but lower quarter straps, stirrup strapsand stirrups are only fair in condition. These latter items could be cleaned up for display but if intended for actual use, I would recommend replacement for safety concerns. The period woodenstirrups have issuesand the quarter strap safes are devoid of padding (see photos).
