This beautiful 8-by-10-inch vintage* male nude beefcake photograph by the gifted West Coast photographer Dave MARTIN dates from the 1950s and features a classically handsome, hairy-chested, muscular, athletic model kneeling atop a column in the photographer\'s studio.

Fire chiefs, college jocks, delivery men --somehow Dave Martin got them all to take their clothes off for his camera. A master of shadows and light, Dave posed Bay Area athletes and common men as classical characters. Martin and his work were featured extensively in the 1999 movie Beefcake, which documented the careers of the muscle photographers of the 1940s, \'50s and \'60s.

Please note that Dave Martin returned to the darkroom from about 1999 to 2005, producing new signed prints from his original negatives. Like most of the prints he made in the 1950s, this vintage* print from the 1950s is UNSIGNED. Please be aware that signed photographs by Dave Martin were most-likely printed more recently.

Condition
This 8-by-10-inch vintage photograph is beautifully printed on heavy matte stock and is in very good condition. There are bends in the lower-right and left corners, the upper-right corner and in the middle of the top edge. Quality and clarity are excellent, with very crisp details.
