We have for sale one very nice Vintage1964 Mercury Comet Caliente 2 door hardtopDealership Promotional model.
The Comet is painted dark metallicblue, it has very nice blue tinted windows and whitewall tires, the bumpers are dated 1964 both front and rear.
The blue paint is in nice shape, it does have some streaks on the top, some ofthe chrome parts have worn their finish off and they are showing the red
base plastic underneath, please review the pictures for a complete description. The inside of the car is very nice, it is dusty and needs a good careful cleaning.
The steering wheel and floor shifter are intact. The car has bucket seats and a console, the interior is a lighter blue than the exterior, again, dusty but very nice.
both doors each have a small scratch on them, I don`t know if they will show up in the pictures, they are small. but there. The windows are tinted a beautiful
blue color, which shows really nice. Note: a previous owner has taken the time to add the 427 numbers to the front fenders, that is how it was when I got it.
it`s not too gawdy, but I don`t think they were on the car model when new. I could be wrong, maybe it was an option. The hood appears to be missing an
ornament on the front, there is a hole there, I always thought a piece of trim should go there. The right rear quarter panel has a small hole on the top, where
maybe something could have been mounted, it can`t be an antenna, sinceit would have been mounted up front, where this model has what looks like a spotlight
or mirror, I`m not sure really. This is the way I bought it and enjoyed it for many years, sometimes displaying it. The white box that the car came in looks to be original
it is not in perfect shape, due to age, but the box goes with the car, The car and box will be carefully packaged and sent via USPS priority mail so you can get it like you see
it here, not new, not perfect, but a nice vintage example of how a real car looks. Thanks.
