ANTIQUE BUFF & BUFF ENGINEERS LEVELING TRANSIT in ORIGINAL BOX MINTY For Sale

Buff & Buff Engineer\'s / Surveyors Leveling Transit w/ Box. Stamped on the base is the maker name Buff & Buff. The serial # is 28296 BOSTON. The Buff & Buff firm originated after the break-up of the original Buff & Berger partnership about 1898. I would assume this level dates from the 1920\'s from the serial number.This level does have some light dust but in beautiful, I do not think it has ever been used. It do not see any signs of use. It has all original finishes. The compass operates, it turns nicely and the all motions seem to move a they should. The four level vials are OK.Only thing I see is some minor dust and that can be cleaned to enhance display. Comes with original display box that has minor storage scuffs. . In picture one stands about 9 1/2 inches by 21 inches long and is heavy with box. Any overage on shipping will always be refunded.
