DescriptionAn antique French crystal 8 day regulator mantel clock in solid brass case with beveled glass panels. The 4\" porcelain dial is signed by retailer \"Bigelow and Kennard, Boston\" and is in excellent condition with no chips or hairlines. The movement is stamped \"Japy Freres, Medaille d\'Honneur\" with number 7918/48\". It has a real merc-filled pendulum. The springs are ok but the clock stops and starts so probably needs a cleaning, as does the brass case (light polish). It has a lovely chime on the hour and 1/2 hour. Size: 10\" X 6\" X 5\". Case is in very good condition with only one minor flake on bottom corner of front panel that is not obvious. Circa 1900.
