As you can see for yourself, this is a beautiful looking lamp. I am going to go into the things I found as potential issues with this...all of which can be repaired (some easily), if you so desire. First, it has been electrified. Next, I noticed the globe appears to have been painted and the glass has some typical flea bite chips you would expect to find around its perimeter. As far as the paint is concerned, that can be removed easily. The gas canister, that slides into the brass housing of the lamp has a significant hole in it. When it is in place, as you can see in the pics, it is not even seen. In addition, the chimney is missing. Finally, the knob that has the maker\'s name on it would need to be resoldier to its pin it is on...it is loose. If a person wanted to bring this back to gas, I believe a lamp repair shop could do that for you. Otherwise, if you wish to leave it electrified, I would replace the cord and find a chimney for it.
