Antique 1905 Blown Glass Pokal Pilsner Beer Glasses Pewter Fire Fighter Overlay
Hello Everyone.
This is an outstanding and I believe rare set of 4
mouth blown glass pokal pilsner glasses with
Fire Fighter themed pewter overlays.
Take a moment to read the markings on the pewter.
The firefighter with pipe is just so cool.
Two Gills marks just the right amount of beer Fire Fighters could drink
and still be able to slide down the pole and rescue people.
Not exactly a gentleman yet not quite a little pig either.
My Pops is a fire fighter. Seems about right. LoL
Notice how each glass is a little bit different and
some are just a bit off center.
Definitely blown glass.
The pewter overlays are marked 1905 which I believe
is probably when these glasses were made.
The quality of this set is unmatched.
You can feel the quality when you pick one up.
Excellent condition.
No chips or cracks.
Seems a miracle for hundred year old glassware.
Also included are 2 blown collins glasses.
The pewter pieces on them are the same as on the beer glasses.
These seem German American in origin to me.
Pils glasses are 9 3/4 inches tall.
Collins glasses are 5 1/2 inches tall.
