Antique Deco Stewart Warner \"Prado\" Tbl Mdl Radio, R-127A, Fully Restored For Sale

Offered for your consideration is a fully restored Stewart Warner \"Prado\" Deco table radio, Mdl R-127A. Both the chassis and cabinet have been professionally restored.
The cabinet on this iconic deco set is of maple burl, on the front panel, with straight-grained walnut flanking each side in a chevron style pattern. The lower edges of the front and sides are also walnut with fluted colum accents, extending from top to bottom, on each corner. And, finally, the cabinet is highlighted with a black lacquered raised panel, on top, with curved waterfall accents extending from each side.
The cabinet was carefully stripped, sanded, stained, grain filled, and shaded with the appropriate lacquer toner accents. This was followed by applying numerous coats, (upwards of 15), of nitro-cellulose lacquer with multiple stages of wet sanding in between. The final step involved a \"cut and polish\" process using 2000 grit sandpaper followed by 3M automotive rubbing compound and polish applied to achieve a premier high gloss finish. The antique gold speaker cloth is \"period correct\" professionally reproduced fabric.
The chassis was professionally reconditioned with a process that included a full re-cap,alignment, cleaning of all contacts, new mounting grommets for the tuning condenser, testing of all tubes to ensure proper emissions and performance, new dial lamp, and line cord. And finally, the set was heat tested to ensure operational reliability. The wooden knobs are original and in perfect condition.

The radio measures 17\" high, 13\" wide, and 9\" deep. It will be securely wrapped in a heavy duty box to ensure safe shipping and arrival. I will also securely pack the interior of the cabinet to protect all tubes and chassis components.
