~Fromour most recent buying trip, we have an ENTIRE COLLECTION of antique English“gentleman’s cabinets”!! Many havedated, engraved presentation plaques, and ALL of them are fabulous!~

~Typicallythese boxes were used for storing pipes, tobacco, and game cards for men. Today, our customers use them as conversationpieces, decorative items, and YES, as jewelry boxes!!~

~Thisis a large box, with fabulous carved panels, much more than typically found~
~Upper cabinet has scalloped carved crown; double doors each with inset carvedpanels; lower drawer has carvings on either side of the brass drawer pull~

~Largeopen storage inside~

~Cubbyholeon the right has four pipe holders~

~Lowerdrawer…this is a large cabinet, as most of them don’t have the additionaldrawer on the bottom!~

~Lockand key (antique locks are not guaranteed)~

~Lookingat the solid wood back and dovetailed corners, circa 1900~

22.5”height x 21” x 9” (alarge size cabinet).

This item is in good condition for its age, with normal signs ofage and use, dings, scratches, and other imperfections. The pipe shelf on the inside right is a darkwood and looks like it is a replacement to the original.
