Fresh out of an estate. The treasure being offered today is:
- Antique Engraved Sterling Silver Telescopic Fountain Pen & Propelling Mechanical Pencil Combo VERY RARE
- Purchased on a buying trip in Europe
- Encased in solid sterling silver and is exquisitely engraved from top to bottom
- The top section looks very regal and fancy - like it belongs in a palace
- At its peak is a bezel set white banded carnelian jewel seal
- The top unscrews to reveal a well for storing extra leads
- There are exquisitely sculpted and engraved flower buttons that can be pushed up and down the barrel: one pushes down to reveal a pencil with lead, the other reveals a gold nib
- An inscribed monogram in elegant lettering on the side reads “CSB”
- Open: 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) long; Closed: 3 5/8 inches (9.2 cm); Diameter at top: .50 inch (13 mm)
- Weighs 15.4 grams
- Nib is engraved “EVERSHARP Made in the USA” - the rest is hidden in holder - (nib tests as 14K gold - don’t know if it’s marked as such on nib because I didn’t want to pull it out)
- Very nice antique condition with only minor age appropriate wear
