• Antique Original US Indian Wars era canteen with canvas cover and leather strap in good condition with aging, wear and some staining to the cover,asmall, very shallow depression on one sideof canteen,cover has soldier number \" 23 \" stenciled on front, thereis one smallspot where canvas cover is worn thru, the stitching is in good condition,agingis present around the spout, chain, and the cork\'s ring but it\'s complete and sturdy,cork stopperis in good condition,the leather strap is still pretty pliable and not toobrittle, strap does show some crazing and somelight cracking in some places but is still sturdy, strap shows 2 period of use repairs using brads on one end, has original brass hooks, overall a nice, solid and very presentable example of a scarce Indian Wars accoutrement
