Antique lighted hanging glass sign w/kerosene lantern \"ICE CREAM\" circa 1890\'s For Sale

An antique hanging glass and metal advertising sign with a kerosene lamp inside to light it up at night. It is stenciled \"ICE CREAM\" on both sides. It has a wire hanging loop on top and two loops on the back to hang it with. Front has a glass door that opens so you can take the lamp out and fill it with kerosene. That lamp has a hole rusted through bottom and is very rusty. Lamp clips in to hold it steady in the wind. Sign is about 15\" tall by 13\" wide by 9-1/2 inches deep. Stenciling of \"ICE CREAM\" is good and black painted metal frame is good. Sign itself is overall in good condition. Burner is embossed \"VENUS PAT. DEC 19, 1867\". I bought it in the 1970\'s from a dealer who found it New York state. The earliest ice cream sign I\'ve seen to date. I include a fllcker flame bulb as I was going to modify the lamp with an electric lamp. But the lamp could be de-rusted and the hole soldered so it would hold kerosene.
