Offered is super nice, clean, enlisted pattern Baden Model 1915 Helmet. Probably a Liberty Bond Helmet, as it appears to be in unworn condition.
Nicely Armee Korps Depot Marked inside: \"B.A. XIV\" which had it\'s Headquarters in Karlsruhe, and served the Provinzen of Grossherzogthum Baden; and Hohenzollern. the \"V\" of the \"XIV\" is faint, with only a portion of the \"V\" being visible.
The Baden Kokarde and the National Kokardes are guaranteed 100% for Life to be Original WW1 era or earlier German manufactured.
The Chinstrap is a Nice Older Reproduction, probably made in the last 25-years or so from my estimation.
The helmet has an original wartime steel \"Hex Nut\" securing the bottom of the backspine to the underside of the back visor. These wartime steel hex nuts are hard to find. The liner also has an interesting feature, with the back seam of the liner having an added piece of leather between the two halves where they are joined together. Clearly this was done in the assembly process of making the helmet in 1915, and I guarantee that this liner has not been altered or tinkered with in modern times.
The helmet is in beautiful condition, showing light age and storage wear only. The chinstrap actually looks very nice on the helmet, and should serve as a good filler chinstrap until the new owner secures an original chinstrap if they choose to do so.
This helmet would be very difficult to upgrade the condition, and will make an excellent addition to any collection.100% Satisfaction or a Full Refund including Shipping.
