Baleen Basket - Polar Bear - Herburt Koonuk - Alaska For Sale

Baleen basket made by Hubert Koonuk. Polar bear finial on top.Basket measures 4 1/2\" wide at widest. Opening is 3\" wide. Height is 3 1/2\" tall with finial.Disk on bottom has number 1.205. Disk sits inside bottom so basket sits flat.The tag with the artists name was on the bottom. It is saved and could be glued back on as desired.Basket was purchased 8-8-81 in Anchorage Alaska by my mother. Original receipt included.Basket is in perfect condition - Stitching is tight. This has been stored out of sun and smoke free home.Pictures were taken with no flash and under a light. Basketis black in color with a faint brown tone.
