Chuck Yeager autographed Bell X1 airplane model, Danbury Mint, w/ box & papers. This is the model of the first jet to break the sound barrier in 1947. Model is almost new in the box. Won\'t call it brand new since it appears to have been previously displayed. Plane model in pristine condition. Paint is pristine. Decals are pristine. The only chipping is around the holes where it was placed on stand. Plane appears to be made of wood. Stand is wood with metal support for plane. Model comes with original box and foam packing. Also comes with all of the original paperwork. Even includes photo of Yeager signing one of the models. There are also photos of various military aircraft. The original owner kept everything with this model. This plane is MUST for the aviation enthusiast and autograph collector. Model will be insured.
