Offered for your consideration is this American Civil War Union General Philip Henry Sheridan (1831-1888) Riding Rearing Horse Cast Iron Figural Bank that is guaranteed to be Antique. Sheridan\'s horse was named \'Rienzi\' (aka \'Winchester\'), & was considered to be the original \'Warhorse\'. Sheridan appears to be wearing his Union Army uniform (high boots, gloves, high collar, stripe on pants). Bank is mounted on a textured cast iron base. The bank measures approx. 6\" tall by 6\" long & the base is about 2-1/4\" by 4\".  This bank was featured in Moore\'s Penny Bank Book on page 66 # 50. According to Kovel\'s Antique Book, their estimate of this bank 12 years ago (2007) was $558.00. This rare item would make a unique gift for the Civil War Collector.
